Jaswinder has over 20 years of industry experience in global business development, sales and marketing, and strategic operations across both private and public-sector organizations. She is currently serving as Professor of Business, Management & Entrepreneurship at the School of Business, Algonquin College.
Her areas of expertise include entrepreneurship development, social innovation, start-up financing, and private fund management, with specialization across technology, education, and sustainability sectors. She has significant experience working with government and public institutions in policy development related to sustainable energy solutions, low-carbon economic growth, and entrepreneurship creation.
Over the course of her 20+ year career, Jaswinder has engaged with thousands of entrepreneurs in business plan development and fund-raising initiatives. She is also the Co-founder and Partner of Venture Coaches, a seed and early-stage venture capital fund based in Ottawa, Canada.
In addition, she has served as a consultant with UNIDO (United Nations Industrial Development Organization) for the past 10 years, contributing to international projects across Austria, Bhutan, Ivory Coast, India, Singapore, and Rwanda.
Jaswinder holds an MBA from the University of Ottawa, Canada, and a BA (Honours) from Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada. She is also a graduate of the Frankfurt Business School with specialization in climate change finance.
